For Walks Leaders

Are you about to lead your first walk for us? Or are you a seasoned (I hesitate to say “old”) hand who has led from the front many times before? Whichever it might be, we have prepared a brief list of things you might wish to consider before setting out. As with all things, a commonsense approach is required, (so please don’t view it as a compulsory tick list) but if you are properly prepared then it is all the more likely that you will enjoy a successful walk.

Remember too that there is usually a Committee Member on the walk who can lend a helpful hand in case of need. Our walks have always been seen  as enjoyable days out ,in good company amid scenic countryside. Hopefully these simple precautions will help keep it that way.
